Report: Manchester United still keen on Morgan Schneiderlin

Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin is reportedly still a summer transfer target for Manchester United, despite the Red Devils closing in on Bastian Schweinsteiger.

Manchester United still want to sign Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, according to reports.

The Red Devils are on the verge of signing Bayern Munich's Bastian Schweinsteiger, and it has been suggested that boss Louis van Gaal only wants to sign one midfielder this summer.

However, Sky Sports News claims that the club are still working on a deal to sign Schneiderlin in this window.

The Frenchman has not taken part in the Saints pre-season tour in Austria, but manager Ronald Koeman has insisted that is because of illness.

Schneiderlin is reportedly valued at £25m.
