Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is ready to reward Michael Carrick's good form with an extension to his current deal, according to a report.
The 31-year-old has started in all but one of United's 23 Premier League games this season, earning praise for his performances in central midfield.
With his contract due to expire at the end of next season, Goal.com reports that Ferguson is about to offer the England international another one-year extension.
Carrick, who has 26 international caps, joined the Red Devils from Tottenham Hotspur for £18m in 2006.
