Manchester United could be preparing to make a January move for FC Basel's defensive wonderkid Michael Goncalves, according to reports in the press.
The 18-year-old Swiss defender is being closely monitored by a number of clubs in Europe and a report in the Daily Star claims that United boss David Moyes is readying an approach for the player's services in the next transfer window.
United have already made it clear they are looking to build their future based on talented youngsters, with Moyes recently extending the contract of Adnan Januzaj.
Last month, Moyes also oversaw United's agreement to sign FC Zurich's Saidy Janko.
