Robin van Persie to leave Manchester United?

Robin van Persie is reportedly to leave Manchester United this summer, due to the Dutchman struggling to be a part of Louis van Gaal's plans.

Robin van Persie will reportedly leave Manchester United this summer, after failing to break into Louis van Gaal's starting XI.

The Dutch striker is being linked with moves to Serie A and is allegedly looking for regular first-team action.

According to Dutch football expert Marcel van der Kraan, there is a 'big chance' that the 31-year-old will leave Old Trafford this summer.

When asked whether Van Persie will leave Man United, Van der Kraan told talkSPORT: "The chances are big, yes. I spoke to Robin a few weeks ago and he said he would sit down with Van Gaal and do some homework over the summer.

"I asked what that meant and he just wants to know the plan at Man United. I think he was mostly hinting that he doesn't want to regularly sit on the bench. He has a massive desire to play, not just for Euro 2016, but he wants to play on and on at the highest level.

"He doesn't think that sitting on the bench in a squad, which also has Angel di Maria on the sidelines, will improve his game or help him stay in top fitness. That was why he said he wanted to go to Fulham and Leicester with the reserves last season."

Van Persie made 27 appearances for the Red Devils last season, scoring 10 times.
