Nemanja Vidic says that it is possible that Cristiano Ronaldo could play again for Manchester United in the future.

Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic believes that it is possible that Cristiano Ronaldo could return to the club in the future.

The Real Madrid forward returns to Old Trafford for the first time since leaving the Red Devils, when the two sides square off in the second leg of their Champions League last-16 clash on Tuesday.

Despite Sir Alex Ferguson doubting a move for the Portugal captain, Vidic feels that there is every possibility that Ronaldo could play for United again one day.

"It would be a big ask for many reasons," Vidic told The Sun. "I would love to see Cristiano here; I could see it.

"He is a United supporter. Even though he left he still follows United and still misses the club and the environment here."
