Watford are reportedly bracing themselves for a battle to keep hold of Pervis Estupinan amid suggestions that Manchester United want to sign the left-back.
The 22-year-old joined the Hornets from LDU Quito in 2016 but is yet to make an appearance for the English outfit, spending time out on loan with Spanish clubs Granada, Almeria, Mallorca and Osasuna.
Estupinan enjoyed an impressive 2019-20 campaign for Osasuna, contributing one goal and six assists in 36 La Liga appearances.
The Ecuador international was also due to spend next season on loan with Los Rojillos, but according to Marca, Watford are planning to recall the defender this summer.
The report claims that the Hornets are aware of interest from Old Trafford and view Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side as a 'threat' when it comes to keeping hold of the South American.
Former United captain Antonio Valencia recently said that he 'hopes' the 20-time English champions bring Estupinan to the club this summer.
