Barcelona transfer news: Man United, Man City wingers on five-man shortlist after Hansi Flick 'demand'

Who is the 'big wish'? Barcelona's five attacking transfer targets 'revealed'

Barcelona allegedly draw up a five-man shortlist of wide attackers for the summer transfer window, including Marcus Rashford and Jeremy Doku.

Barcelona have reportedly drawn up a five-man shortlist of wide attacking options for the summer transfer window as Hansi Flick seeks to bolster his side's offensive options.

No team in La Liga has scored more goals than the Blaugrana's 65 in the current campaign, and Flick's men lead the way at the top of the division over Real Madrid on head-to-head points.

The scintillating form of attacking trio Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski has been critical to Barcelona's success both domestically and continentally, as the Blaugrana also strolled into the last 16 of the Champions League.

However, Spanish outlet Fichajes claims that Flick has 'demanded' that club president Joan Laporta sign a new left-winger, who can both keep Raphinha on his toes and provide cover when the Brazilian is unavailable.

The report adds that the powers-that-be have already got to work scoping out possible reinforcements, and they have settled on a five-man shortlist of both experienced and youthful European talents.

Rashford, Luis Diaz among Barcelona transfer targets?

One of the names that Barcelona apparently like 'the most' is Liverpool's Luis Diaz, whose contract situation has been clouded in uncertainty for a number of months, as his current terms are due to run out in 2027.

The Reds are thought to be struggling to sign Diaz to a new contract and could be tempted into a sale for the right price this summer, but it will allegedly take a fee of £70.8m to get a deal done.

An alternative Premier League-based option is Rashford, who reportedly still harbours ambitions of pulling on the Barcelona shirt after failing to secure a dream switch to Camp Nou in January.

The Englishman has made a bright start to his loan spell at Aston Villa, who have an option to make his stay permanent for around £40m this summer, but Barcelona could try their luck if the Lions decide against activating that clause.

Elsewhere in the Premier League, La Blaugrana are apparently attentive to the situation of Manchester City's Jeremy Doku, who has struggled with injuries in recent weeks and has now slipped behind Omar Marmoush in the pecking order.

What non-Premier League wingers are Barcelona looking at?

As well as the three England-based attackers, Barcelona are still rumoured to be keeping tabs on Nico Williams of Athletic Bilbao, who is said to be the 'big wish' of the La Liga leaders.

Williams has not hit the same heights this season as he did at Euro 2024 and in the months leading up to Spain's triumph, but the report adds that enough 'insistence' from Barcelona could see a deal struck.

Finally, Flick's side are also keeping tabs on Borussia Dortmund product Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, who has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea but is also under 'serious consideration' by Camp Nou chiefs.

As Dortmund are at risk of missing out on European football altogether next season, it has been suggested that the club could lower their asking price from €100m (£82.8m) to €80m (£66.2m) when the window reopens.
