Real Madrid will reportedly remain interested in Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, regardless of whether Zinedine Zidane stays at the Bernabeu.
Despite only returning to Los Blancos earlier this year, there is already talk of Real potentially replacing the club legend, who has lost five of his 16 matches in charge.
Such a decision could potentially impact on the club's efforts to sign Pogba given that the two French compatriots are keen to work together.
However, according to Calciomercato, the La Liga giants will still look to bring in the World Cup winner next summer.
The report adds that the possible appointment of former Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri would only strengthen Real's chances of sealing Pogba's signature.
While the 26-year-old effectively has just under three years left on his contract, he has expressed no desire to extend his stay at United.
