Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane is reportedly desperate for his club to prioritise a January move for Manchester United's Paul Pogba over a swoop for Tottenham Hotspur's Christian Eriksen.
Neither Pogba nor Eriksen are seemingly prepared to sign new contracts with their respective clubs, and Madrid have been strongly linked with the pair ahead of the January transfer window.
According to ESPN, Madrid president Florentino Perez is eyeing a mid-season swoop for the Spurs attacker, but Zidane wants Los Blancos to instead focus on a move for Pogba.
Eriksen is believed to have made a final decision on his future with Mauricio Pochettino's side, with the Denmark international set to seek a move in the January transfer window.
Pogba, meanwhile, is said to have informed United that he will not be signing a new deal at Old Trafford as he pushes for either a switch to Madrid or a return to Juventus.
Despite the criticism that the team have faced in the early stages of the season, Madrid are currently top of La Liga with 18 points from their eight matches.
