The leadership qualities of Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba are reportedly a major reason behind Real Madrid's desire to sign him this summer.
Madrid have been linked with a number of high-profile raids on the Premier League as they look to revamp their squad following a dismal campaign both domestically and in Europe.
Pogba is understood to be one of the club's top targets, with manager Zinedine Zidane having personally earmarked his compatriot as a transfer priority.
Marca reports that Zidane has been particularly impressed by Pogba's leadership and ability to generate team spirit, increasing his desire to bring him to the Bernabeu.
Pogba's attitude has been questioned at times this season, but he was an integral part of the France squad which won the World Cup last summer.
The 26-year-old could be handed the captain's armband should he stay at United, having been stripped of the vice-captaincy by former boss Jose Mourinho earlier this season.
