Lisandro Martinez has returned to Manchester United training just 10 days after winning the 2022 World Cup with Argentina.
The 24-year-old, who joined United from Ajax in the summer, played five of Argentina's seven games in Qatar, helping his country win their third World Cup trophy.
Following their success at the tournament, the World Cup winners returned home to Argentina to celebrate in front of their supporters.
Martinez has missed United's League Cup win over Burnley and a comfortable Premier League victory against Nottingham Forest, but he has now returned to the club's Carrington training ground.
The defender has made 21 competitive appearances for United this season, and he has established a central defensive partnership with Raphael Varane, whom he faced in the World Cup final.
After starting six of France's seven matches in Qatar, Varane returned in time to play 77 minutes of United's 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest.
While the Frenchman is expected to feature against Wolverhampton Wanderers on New Year's Eve, it is currently unclear whether Martinez will play a role.
