Maritimo strike late to beat Tondela

Maritimo score in the third minute of injury time to clinch a 1-0 win over Tondela in Sunday's Primeira Liga clash at the Estadio dos Barreiros.

Maritimo have secured a last-ditch 1-0 win over Tondela in Sunday's Primeira Liga clash at the Estadio dos Barreiros, the decisive goal coming in the third minute of injury time.

In a bad-tempered game which saw a total of 12 yellow cards being dished out, Ulysse Diallo saw red for the hosts for a second booking just before the hour.

Despite this, however, the Madeira-based side went on to claim all three points at the death when Moussa Marega scored in the 93rd minute of the game to send the home fans wild.

The result means that Maritimo climb to 10th place in the Primeira Liga table, while Tondela remain 16th and in possible relegation trouble.
