Queens Park Rangers midfielder Joey Barton has played down the prospect of joining former club Marseille in the summer.
President of the French side Vincent Labrune recently suggested that Barton's agent called to offer him the 32-year-old, who spent the 2012-13 season at Stade Velodrome.
However, Barton, who was relegated with Rangers last week, insists that the conversation never happened.
"I have 100 per cent focus on QPR and always will until told otherwise," he wrote on Twitter.
"First I've heard of a conversation between President Labrune and my agent today. Never had a clue that it happened till I read it today."
Barton made 32 appearances in all competitions during his time at the French outfit.
