Carlos de Pena has admitted that completing a switch to Middlesbrough and playing in English football is a "dream" move.
The 23-year-old winger signed a three-year deal with the Championship outfit on transfer deadline day.
De Pena, who scored 10 goals in 53 appearances for Nacional, is now eager to show his worth to new boss Aitor Karanka.
"I think this is awesome," he told the club's official website. "I had a dream to play here in England and now that I'm here I am really enjoying it.
"My teammates have received me very well, the facilities are nice, and now I have to work and demonstrate why I am here."
De Pena is available for selection ahead of this weekend's visit of MK Dons to the Riverside.
