Middlesbrough boss Aitor Karanka has conceded that his side were second best in their clash against Huddersfield Town, despite winning the match 2-0 at John Smith's Stadium.
Boro took the lead through Adam Clayton in the ninth minute and were forced to wait until six minutes from time before they could seal the three points when Emilio Nsue found the net.
Despite the victory, Karanka has admitted that he was far from pleased with his team's display.
The Spaniard told reporters: "It was not a good performance but sometimes games are like that.
"Huddersfield looked like the top team, not us. Huddersfield played really well and I expected that."
Middlesbrough moved back into the top two in the Championship as a result of their win.
