David Nugent has revealed that he is determined to fire Middlesbrough into the Premier League after completing his move to the club.
The North-East outfit secured the signing of the 30-year-old for a fee in the region of £4m from Leicester City.
Nugent is adamant that he has no problems about moving down from the Premier League to the Championship.
He told Sports Mole: "No I didn't think twice about dropping down a division. It's a very tough league, I know what it is all about. I'm now hopeful that I can be a part of the team that gets promoted to the Premier League."
Nugent could make his debut for Aitor Karanka's men in their Championship clash against Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.
