Preview: Millwall vs. Middlesbrough

Sports Mole previews the Championship match between Middlesbrough and Millwall at The Den.

Millwall will be hoping to end a run of five matches without a win in the Championship when they host Middlesbrough this weekend.

Ian Holloway's side shared a 2-2 draw with Bournemouth last weekend, leaving the team 20th in the table, just two points clear of the relegation zone.

The hosts will be boosted by the return of Andy Wilkinson after the defender completed his three-match suspension for a sending-off last month.

Lee Martin is a doubt for the match after lasting just 20 minutes last weekend with a toe problem, but Holloway has confirmed that he did not suffer a break, so has not ruled him out completely.

Meanwhile, Middlesbrough will be keen to end a run of three straight draws, which has dropped them down to fifth in the table.

Aitor Karanka's side conceded an injury-time equaliser to Blackburn Rovers last weekend, leaving them on a six-match run without a defeat.

The visitors will be without defender Ryan Fredericks, who sustained a thigh injury at the weekend, while Dani Ayala and goalkeeper Dimi Konstantopoulos are also doubts for the trip.

If the first-choice stopper is sidelined, the manager will have a choice between Tomas Mejias, who has been on the bench recently, or Jamal Blackman, who was the team's cup keeper earlier in the season.

The two meetings between these two sides last season resulted in away wins.
