Middlesbrough have strengthened their squad with the signing of goalkeeper Andy Lonergan.
The 34-year-old spent the last campaign at Leeds United, but the veteran was released earlier this summer having made just nine appearances in all competitions.
Lonergan has remained a free agent through the transfer window, but Middlesbrough have now handed the stopper a one-year contract.
Boro become the 10th club of Lonergan's career, and the player is no stranger to the North-East having previously spent a loan spell at Darlington.
Lonergan will now provide competition for Darren Randolph over the course of the upcoming Championship season.
