Middlesbrough have completed the signing of former Southampton defender Frazer Richardson on a free transfer.
The 30-year-old, who has also represented Leeds United and Charlton Athletic, was a free agent after his Saints contract expired at the end of last season.
He becomes manager Tony Mowbray's third signing of the summer following the arrivals of Dean Whitehead and Jozsef Varga.
The Championship club have not yet confirmed the length of Richardson's contract.
