Middlesbrough are reportedly close to tying up a double deal with Everton for midfielder Muhamed Besic and winger Yannick Bolasie.
The Smoggies are said to be keen to bring Besic back to the Riverside on a permanent basis following his five-month loan last season.
According to Teesside Live, Tony Pulis is also hopeful of agreeing a temporary switch for Bolasie, despite interest from Premier League clubs.
Crystal Palace and Burnley are both looking to take the Congo international on loan, but Everton want to ensure that he is given regular football, which leaves Boro in a strong position.
Besic, meanwhile, has also been linked with a deadline-day move to fellow Championship side Leeds United.
