Stefan Maierhofer's scrappy goal has brought Millwall level with Huddersfield Town at half time of their Championship clash.
The home side had the first effort on target as Magaye Gueye's shot was saved by Alex Smithies, after Diego Fabbrini had broke forward from midfield.
Millwall maintained their early tempo and came within inches of taking the lead when giant striker Maierhofer struck the outside of the Huddersfield post from an acute angle, after Ed Upson had teed him up.
However, the visitors took the lead against the run of play as Sean Scannell beat the offside trap to reach a Wells pass before neatly volleying the ball past David Forde.
Huddersfield's lead lasted just 11 minutes, though, as Maierhofer scrambled the ball over the line from a Shaun Williams free kick.
Scannell went close to a second when he blasted a right-footed shot wide, before he later cut the ball back for Harry Bunn to clatter against the bar.
