Half-Time Report: Millwall, Blackburn Rovers goalless at break

Millwall and Blackburn Rovers go into the half-time break with the score level at 0-0.

Millwall and Blackburn Rovers go into the half-time break at The Den with the score level at 0-0.

Scott McDonald forced Paul Robinson into an early save with a header from close range, before Steve Morison sent a headed effort straight at the Blackburn goalkeeper in an encouraging opening for the hosts.

Blackburn responded well and David Forde turned Luke Varney's seventh-minute effort away.

The home side came within inches of taking a 15th-minute lead, but when Owen Garvan's free kick evaded everyone in the box, it rebounded off the far post and away to safety.

Blackburn continued to forge out chances for themselves, though, and Grant Hanley headed narrowly over before Corry Evans sliced an effort when well positioned.

McDonald continued to threaten for the hosts and stung the palms of Robinson as half time approached with a powerful shot.
