Half-Time Report: Millwall lead Ipswich Town at the break

Ryan Fredericks's debut goal gives Millwall the half-time lead against Ipswich Town in the Championship.

Millwall scored in fortuitous circumstances to take a 1-0 lead in at half time against Ipswich Town at The Den.

Ryan Fredericks marked his first 45 minutes on loan with the Lions with a goal after his cross evaded everyone before nestling into net five minutes before the break.

Earlier in the half Luke Hyam was stretchered off with a nasty looking knee injury for the Tractor Boys and was replaced by Jay Tabb.

Daryl Murphy had an attempt for the visitors just before the half-hour mark, but his effort was well saved before Liam Trotter went close for Millwall with a curling effort.

Murphy again saw a shot saved by David Forde after he was played in with a clever flick from David McGoldrick.

Forde was replaced by Stephen Bywater towards the end of the half with the goalkeeper pulling up injured.
