Conference side Bristol Rovers have reportedly expressed a bold interest in signing Jermaine Easter from Championship club Millwall.
The 32-year-old frontman has not played for the Lions since September and not scored since December last year.
According to BBC Radio Bristol, Easter has contacted Rovers boss Darrell Clarke over a potential switch.
"Jermaine was a young professional when I was at Hartlepool. He got in contact with me, he's a Cardiff boy and is wanting to get home," Clarke is quoted as saying.
"Normally to get a player like him is a long shot but we're trying."
Easter is under contract with Millwall until the end of the season after signing a 12-month extension back in May.
