A Ben Reeves penalty has seen MK Dons go into the break 1-0 up over 10-man Blackburn Rovers.
Reeves converted the penalty after 10 minutes when Adam Henley was deemed to have pulled down Josh Murphy in the box, the right-back receiving a red card in the process.
Dons looked to threaten immediately and Ryan Hall tested Jason Steele with a long-range shot that the keeper was able to palm to safety.
Murphy then saw a deflected shot skid just wide, before Jordan Rhodes was brought down inside the area but no penalty was given.
Steele then had to produce another fine save after MK Dons worked a good move with Jake Forster-Caskey getting on the end of it just before half time.
