MK Dons have reportedly opened talks with Nigel Reo-Coker regarding a potential deal until the end of the season.
The League One outfit currently sit in 22nd place in the third-tier standings - six points adrift of safety - and boss Dan Micciche is yet to win any of his five games in charge of the club.
Five new signings were made during the January window but according to Sky Sports News, Micciche is looking to take that total to half-a-dozen with the acquisition of Reo-Coker.
The 33-year-old has been without a club since leaving Norwegian side IK Start in June, while the midfielder has not been seen in English football since departing Ipswich Town in January 2013.
Any deal may lead to a mixed reaction, with Reo-Coker having started his career at Wimbledon before they went out of business in 2004 and MK Dons being formed after their demise.
