Goals from John Utaka, Remy Cabella and Younes Belhanda see Montpellier get the better of Ajaccio 3-0 at home in Ligue 1.

Montpellier have returned to winning ways with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Ajaccio in Ligue 1.

The visitors called the shots in the opening minutes of the match, with Mehdi Mostefa and Chahir Belghazouani trying their luck.

Then in the 19th minute John Utaka headed Marco Estrada's cross towards the Ajaccio goal, only to see Guillermo Ochoa make a save.

However, Ochoa had no answer in the 28th minute when Utaka fired in from the left side of the penalty area to give the defending French champions the lead.

Four minutes later Remy Cabella made it 2-0 to Montpellier when he found the target from close range.

Midway through the second half the hosts scored for the third time, Younes Belhanda receiving Abdelhamid El Kaoutari's pass and firing in from outside the Ajaccio penalty area.
