Montpellier take all three points from the Ligue 1 clash against Sochaux, winning 2-0.

Montpellier eased past Sochaux in this evening's Ligue 1 clash, winning 2-0.

The defending French champions pressed early on and dominated proceedings as they looked to take the game to Sochaux.

Their pressure paid off in the 28th minute when Souleymane Camara set up Emmanuel Herrera, who finished well to make it 1-0.

Camara was instrumental again on 34 minutes, setting up John Utaka, who scored his fifth goal of the season to double the home side's lead.

Marco Estrada came close to wrapping up the points for Montpellier, but his effort was off target.

Camara made a strong run forward on 82 minutes, but his shot from distance was held well by the goalkeeper.
