Montpellier have increased Olivier Giroud's buy-out clause to €16m, according to France Football.
The striker, who has recently been linked with Newcastle United, had a previous clause that stood at €10m.
However, Ligue 1 leaders Montpellier are keen to keep hold of the 25-year-old and have raised their asking price in attempt to ward off interest from other clubs in the summer.
Giroud has struck 16 goals from 22 outings this season.
