Didier Drogba has ruled out a loan return to the Premier League during the Major League Soccer off-season, saying that he would rather use his time off to be with his family and get some rest.
The former Chelsea striker has enjoyed an impressive debut season for MLS side Montreal Impact, scoring nine goals in 11 league matches.
With the MLS not resuming until March, there has been speculation that the 37-year-old could return to England on a short-term deal.
Drogba, however, told Sky Sports News: "I would be honoured of course, but I think I need to rest and take care of my family and then come back to Montreal and have a good season."
Drogba spent nine years with Chelsea over two spells, scoring over 100 goals in the Premier League and converting the decisive penalty to win the Champions League in 2012.
