Late Paul Watson strike earns draw for Montrose

Montrose score a stoppage-time equaliser to earn a 2-2 draw away to Berwick.

Paul Watson scored a 93rd-minute equaliser as Montrose held Berwick to a 2-2 draw in Scotland's League Two this evening.

Darren Lavery gave the home side the lead on 13 minutes when he fired a shot past Montrose keeper Stuart McKenzie.

Ross Gray doubled the advantage just before the half-hour mark when he hit a low effort into the corner with his left foot after good work from Paul Currie in the build-up.

Leighton McIntosh reduced the deficit on the stroke of half time for the visitors when he tucked away an effort into the bottom corner.

Berwick had a chance to restore their two-goal advantage immediately after the restart but Stephen Tulloch headed wide before Watson went close for Montrose.

With the game three minutes into stoppage time, Watson popped up to grab the equaliser for the visitors.
