Guingamp sunk by Jeremy Sorbon own-goal at Nantes

Jeremy Sorbon's own-goal gifts Nantes victory in their Ligue 1 opener against Guingamp.

Nantes have opened their Ligue 1 campaign with a dramatic late victory over Guingamp.

An own goal from Jeremy Sorbon in the 89th minutes was enough for Les Canaris to take three points.

Nantes had early chances to take the lead at the Stade La Beaujoire, but Adrien Thomasson's effort was saved by Jonas Lossl and Emiliano Sala headed wide from Adryan's cross.

Guingamp had chances of their own before the break, with Nill De Pauw having a shot stopped by Remy Riou.

Valentin Rongier then went close for Les Canaries before Dorian Leveque had another effort saved for the visitors as the match appeared destined for a draw.

However, Sorbon turned the ball past his own keeper in the penultimate minute to hand Nantes maximum points.
