Gonzalo Higuain pleased with "fundamental" victory

Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain says that his side's 3-2 victory over Marseille was crucial to their chances of qualifying for the knockout stages of the Champions League.

Gonzalo Higuain has called Napoli's win over Marseille "fundamental" in their hopes to qualify for the last 16 of the Champions League.

The Italians came from behind to record a 3-2 victory, with Higuain pleased to see his side claim three important points.

"It was a very difficult game and we were aware it was going to be," he told Sky Sport Italia.

"This victory was fundamental for Napoli to stay top of the group. We are satisfied and knew this was going to be a very complex group, but we've got to give our all.

"I am in good shape, feeling better all the time and hope to help the team achieve important results."

Tonight's victory leaves Napoli level with Arsenal at the top of Group F with nine points.
