Napoli manager Rafael Benitez is keen to make a return to the Premier League, according to his former assistant.
Bolo Zenden, who served as the Spaniard's deputy at Chelsea, said that the former Liverpool boss views his time in Italy as a stopgap ahead of a return to England.
Benitez has been linked with the vacant managerial post at Tottenham Hotspur, but Zenden is unsure whether a move to White Hart Lane would be of interest.
"He loves the English game," the Dutchman told talkSPORT. "He loves to manage his teams in England and it is just a sidestep to be back in Italy.
"He has won a cup [with Napoli] but I'm sure in the future he will be back in England. If that is going to be with Tottenham, I'm not sure."
Benitez guided Napoli to Champions League qualification in Serie A last season.
