Alessandro Del Piero backs Napoli for future title

Juventus legend Alessandro Del Piero backs Napoli to challenge his former side for the title in the near future.

Alessandro Del Piero has backed Napoli to challenge for the Serie A title in the future.

Napoli tomorrow take on Juventus, the team that Del Piero represented for 20 years and are top of the table.

The Italian legend believes that Rafael Benitez's men are not far away from a title and also praised youngster Lorenzo Insigne.

"I think in the future Napoli can fight for the Scudetto with Juventus," Del Piero told Il Mattino.

"[President] Aurelio De Laurentiis has planned very well and it still needs a little time. As for Juventus, their strength is their winning mentality.

"I really like Insigne as I think he can go far. I wish him all the best."

Napoli face Juventus at 7.45pm tomorrow evening.
