Marek Hamik brace helps Rafael Benitez start in style

Marek Hamsik scores twice as Napoli register a 3-0 win over Bologna in Rafael Benitez's first game in charge at the San Paolo Stadium.

Napoli have started life under Rafael Benitez with a confident 3-0 win at home to Bologna, thanks largely to a brace from captain for the day Marek Hamsik.

Benitez gave Gonzalo Higuain, Pepe Reina, Raul Albiol and Jose Callejon home debuts in his first game in charge, and the latter wasted no time in making a mark at the San Paolo Stadium.

After hitting the post early on Callejon made the breakthrough on 32 minutes, tapping home from close range after Hamik's effort from range had been parried.

In first-half stoppage time Hamsik doubled their advantage, rounding the goalkeeper in an assured finish after meeting a cross from Juan Camilo Zuniga.

Hamsik then smashed in a second and Napoli's third early in the second half, crashing into the corner following a neat run and pass from Goran Pandev.

Bologna were unable to muster a response through Rolando Bianchi and Alessandro Diamanti at the other end, allowing Reina to keep a clean sheet as the Neapolitans started the season in fine form.
