Team News: Napoli rest players for Parma clash

Napoli rest key players in Thursday evening's Serie A clash at home to Parma in preparation for their Italian Super Cup clash in Doha on December 22.

Napoli defender Christian Maggio is back from suspension and is set to start in his side's Serie A clash against Parma at the San Paolo this evening, in place of the suspended Raul Albiol.

Meanwhile, Duvan Zapata starts in place of Gonzalo Higuain, who is rested ahead of the Italian Super Cup in Doha next week, as are Kalidou Koulibaly and Gokhan Inler.

Juan Zuniga, Michu and Lorenzo Insigne remain long-term absentees for the Partenopei.

Parma are currently in the midst of a personnel crisis, with Jonathan Biabiany, Cristobal Jorquera, Massimo Coda, Nicola Pozzi and Mattia Cassani all missing.

Antonio Cassano is partnered by Raffaele Palladino this evening, while Francesco Lodi is left on the bench and Gabriel Paletta returns to the side's starting XI after four months.

Napoli: Rafael; Maggio, Henrique, Britos, Ghoulam; Gargano, David Lopez; Mertens, Hamsik, Callejon; Duvan

Parma: Mirante, Lucarelli, Santacroce, Paletta, Gobbi, Mauri, Acquah, Galloppa, De Ceglie, Cassano, Palladino
