Napoli captain Paolo Cannavaro feels undervalued at the club under new coach Rafael Benitez, according to the defender's agent.
Cannavaro has spent seven years with Napoli in his second spell for the club after starting out at the San Paolo as a professional in 1998.
The veteran centre-back's agent Enrico Fidele believes that his client deserves some reassurances from the Napoli hierarchy given his long service to the club.
Fidele told Radio Kiss Kiss: "Beyond the economic situation, which is not essential, I believe that the problem is that Cannavaro feels undervalued.
"Obviously, Paolo has to earn a starting spot, but perhaps the leadership of the club could reassure him."
The 32-year-old has been linked with a short-term switch to Manchester City in recent weeks, but has a contract with Napoli that runs until 2015.
