Ahead of Holland's crunch game with Germany, Wesley Sneijder says that it is 'time to let pathetic egos go'.

Wesley Sneijder has called for the Netherlands squad to put their egos to one side and unite as a team.

There have been reports of disharmony within the Dutch camp following their shock 1-0 defeat to Denmark on Saturday.

Klaas Jan Huntelaar is angry at starting on the bench behind Robin van Persie, while several members
of the squad are frustrated that manager Bert van Marwijk has, so far, refused to drop son-in-law Mark van Bommel, according to The Sun.

Sneijder said: "It is time we let these pathetic egos go. If somebody is creating a mess, I will stand up against them now.

"We don't need a psychologist with the Dutch team, we are grown-up men. The ones who have a problem with other players or the manager should tell them face-to-face. That is the only psychology we need.

"We have to stop living on little islands. We must all go for the same goal, be united or face the consequences."

Holland will be eliminated from Euro 2012 if they are beaten by rivals Germany in Kharkiv later today.
