Former Netherlands boss Bert van Marwijk has been named Saudi Arabia's new head coach on a one-year contract.
Van Marwijk, who led his Dutch squad to the 2010 World Cup final before losing to Spain, has been out of management since being sacked by Hamburger SV in February 2014.
The 63-year-old will officially take over on September 1 and his first task will be to prepare the team for a World Cup qualifier against East Timor two days later.
Faisal al-Badin had previously been in charge of Saudi Arabia after being appointed in February.
