Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew is adamant that the club and its fanbase are not getting ahead of themselves despite being third in the Premier League.
The Magpies currently sit six points adrift of league leaders Manchester City, and only one point behind Premier League holders Manchester United.
"I think our fans are underestimated about their knowledge of the game," Pardew told Sky Sports News. "They know where we are at, they know we are playing with confidence and we have got a decent side.
"How good it is, we don't know. We are just going from game to game at the moment.
"I don't see the expectation levels rising or going through the roof here, I think everyone has got their feet on the ground and we just hope we can keep it going."
Newcastle have the chance to continue their winning run with a clash against Everton at St James's Park on Saturday.
