Newcastle United boss Rafael Benitez has claimed that the Magpies remain in "a good position" in the Premier League table, despite suffering four defeats in a row.
After a 3-0 setback at home to Watford on Saturday afternoon, Newcastle sit in 14th place and remain above the relegation zone by just four points, but Benitez has suggested that he is satisfied with the club's start to the campaign.
The 57-year-old told reporters: "We had half an hour against Manchester United where we were good. We had four chances in the first 30 minutes against Watford and we didn't take them.
"The fans appreciate that this group of players really care about the shirt. We cannot forget that on September 1, we were complaining that it will be a difficult season.
"We have a difficult month. We have 14 points. It's a good position but we are not happy - it could be better, it could be worse."
Newcastle are next in action against West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns on Tuesday night.
