Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye has revealed that his physical game has improved since leaving France for England.
Cabaye has become a crowd favourite at St James' Park since signing for the Magpies in 2011, and the former Lille player has admitted that he has developed his all-round game with regular appearances in the Premier League.
The 27-year-old told the Northern Echo: "It has been good for me to come here with regards to the physicality. At Lille, we had a team that had good ball control, we had players who could technically make the difference but it is true that with the physical level, it is helping me a lot.
"I am still getting better in this area and want to get the best out of this season in terms of physical endurance, avoid injuries and arrive on form next summer. The English Championship is helping me a lot and I am happy about that."
Cabaye has scored 13 goals in 84 appearances for Newcastle.
