Roberto Di Matteo: 'We have belief in Aaron Tshibola'

Aston Villa coach Roberto Di Matteo talks up the impact of Aaron Tshibola after the midfielder earns his side a point at home to Newcastle United in the Championship.

Aston Villa boss Roberto Di Matteo has hailed the impact of Aaron Tshibola following the youngster's equalising goal against Newcastle United in the Championship.

It had appeared as though the Villans would be on the end of a defeat against the Magpies, until Tshibola entered the fray from the bench before going on to earn a late point for his side at Villa Park.

"We know his qualities. Luckily he got the equaliser," said Di Matteo, according to the Birmingham Mail.

"Hopefully he can get a bit of continuity into his game now. He's been out for a while with injury, but he's certainly a player we have belief in."

Di Matteo's Villa side currently sit in 17th spot in the league standings after nine games played.
