Newcastle United to target Frank de Boer in the summer?

Newcastle United could look to make a summer move to bring in current Ajax coach Frank de Boer as their new manager, according to a report in the press.

Newcastle United could look to make a move to hire Ajax coach Frank de Boer when the current Premier League season comes to an end, according to a report in the press.

The Magpies lost boss Alan Pardew recently after he agreed to take over at Crystal Palace, leaving John Carver in temporary charge at St James' Park.

The Mirror suggests that United's current caretaker boss could see out the remainder of the campaign in charge, with Mike Ashley eyeing a move to bring in Dutch coach De Boer during the summer.

The 44-year-old manager is currently in his fifth year as head coach at the Amsterdam ArenA.
