Alan Pardew claims that his side will look to set things straight after losing 5-0 to Tottenham.

Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew has said that his side will aim to put things right after their 5-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur last time out.

The Magpies, who are in sixth place in the Premier League, have performed above all expectations this season.

Pardew insists that his side are there on merit, and expects them to respond like a top team against Wolves this weekend.

"It's probably important after a defeat like that to get it out of the system and get back on the training ground," he said.

"I think Wolves is a tough game. We've got our best team available, we'll have a full house, and we're going to make sure there's pressure on them.

"Our last game is a performance and a scoreline that shouldn't happen at this football club, and we're determined to put that right."

Newcastle are unbeaten at the Sports Direct Arena in 2012.
