Premier League clubs could reportedly block Newcastle's proposed Saudi Arabian takeover as new documents emerge linking the Saudi state to illegal streaming.

A group of Premier League clubs could reportedly block Newcastle United's proposed Saudi Arabian takeover, with unrest currently building over the potential deal.

After the emergence of new legal documents, a group of clubs could demand that the Premier League block the £300m sale.

According to The Sun, these documents have provided evidence of a link between the Saudi state and illegal streaming of sports in the country.

Lawyers are now considering the paperwork, with the proposed takeover now facing further delays.

The report goes on to claim that Mike Ashley is becoming increasingly concerned and the billionaire has considered looking for other buyers.
