Chinese Super League side Guangzhou Evergrande are reportedly plotting a move for Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez.
Guangzhou finished runners-up last season under Fabio Cannavaro, who has since agreed to balance jobs by also managing the China national team.
Last season's second-place finish was considered a disappointment, however, having won the previous seven titles on the bounce.
The Mirror reports that Guangzhou are now looking for a new head coach and Benitez, due to be out of contract at Newcastle in the summer, may be a target.
Benitez could earn up to £10m a year in wages, making him one of the highest-paid managers in the world.
The Spaniard has refused to commit to a new deal at St James' Park after previously airing his frustration at a lack of transfer business.
