Ryan Taylor reveals that he would like to extend his stay at Newcastle United.

Ryan Taylor has revealed that he would like to extend his stay with Newcastle United.

Taylor has not always been considered for a starting role at Newcastle, with previous boss Chris Hughton opting to use him sparingly.

However, the 27-year-old has recently been enjoying a prolonged stay in the Magpies' starting lineup under Alan Pardew.

"It was tough. It is not down to me, it is down to the managers and to preferences," said Taylor. "The manager now seems to be working well with me.

"I am so happy that I didn't moan or ask to leave. My patience has paid off.

"I have 18 months left here and I would love to stay."

Taylor joined Newcastle in 2009 from Wigan.
