Newcastle United's new signing Georginio Wijnaldum has suggested that his fighting spirit and ability to score goals can "make the fans happy".
The Netherlands international completed a £14.5m transfer from PSV Eindhoven on Saturday and is aiming to make a big impact at St James' Park.
He is quoted by the Northern Echo as saying: "I'm feeling great because when I came to the club everyone was really kind, beautiful people and I'm already feeling at home.
"I have a lot of confidence that I can make the fans happy and that's what I want to do. I think I can bring goals and passion also, as I work hard and always want to do my best.
"Even if it looks like we're not going to win I always try to find a solution to win games. I'm a fighter."
Wijnaldum has won 19 caps for the Netherlands and was part of Louis van Gaal's squad which finished third at the World Cup last summer.
